Another day, another Marxist

On Today’s Program

Another day, another Marxist

FCC Diversity Czar Mark Lloyd is Obama's media guru and the guy who says the Fairness Doctrine doesn't go far enough. He's actually advocated forcing people to step down from their media posts so they can be replaced with minorities. Seton Motley of the Media Research Center joined Glenn to talk more on Lloyd, but also about a new group whose influence is growing in Washington: Free Press. Sounds peachy, but two of the founders of this group are Marxists and want to 'overthrow the capitalist system' itself. Charming, no? Seton and Glenn talk about just how much influence Free Press has with the Obama administration. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

$500 babies

Have you ever wished you were born into money? Well, our government is doing their best to make sure that every baby in America is born into money ---- $500 to be exact. It's called ASPIRE (America Saving for Personal Investment, Retirement, and Education Act) and yes, it's another incredibly stupid acronym and policy. The only thing dumber than the acronym is the actual policy itself. Glenn breaks it down here. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

8 years and counting

We've been in Afghanistan for 8 years now, and recently things there have taken a turn for the worse. The President has some tough choices to make since he ran as basically the anti-war candidate. Will he try to appease his base of war opponents or will he try and avoid making the same mistake Bush did before the surge of not fighting to win? It's a big moment for the President, and the fate of many soldiers hangs in the balance. Glenn gives his thoughts on what should happen. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

9/12 couple of the year

Dan, a caller from Florida, decided to go to one of the many 'We Surround Them' viewing parties held around the nation for Glenn's big television special. He met some really good people there, turns out one of them was so good they started dating. Now, Dan wants to propose on the air. Here's the line he uses: "Dacia, I never want to be alone for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?" Maybe it was the nerves of entering into marriage...maybe it was the nerves of proposing on a national radio program...but “I never want to be alone for the rest of my life?” Did the “hey, someone is better than no one” approach work for Dan? Find out. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Glenn: Moms are the key

Glenn has noticed a trend recently with callers and the crowds he's met on book tours and tea parties -- more and more in the audience are moms. For a long time Glenn has been saying moms will be the key in turning our democracy off the path to socialism and back towards the founding principles. How and why will they be able to do it? Glenn explains in his latest Beck Talks video blog. ( WATCH
