Healthcare protesters under attack

On Today’s Program

Misinformation: 'Extremist' protesters

The White House got really defensive when someone posted the Presidents own words, so they created a counter ad. They were upset and needed to take it out on someone. Unfortunately, the defense is kinda silly considering there is video and audio of Barack Obama saying exactly what was claimed. He wants a single payer system. Clear as day. Yet, the White House claims the words were cherry picked and taken out of context. That's a funny complaint coming from someone on the left, who only seem to get their news from left wing bloggers who do just that for a living. Glenn reacts to the awful defense by the White House and talks about how the media is misinforming on the 'right wing extremist' healthcare protesters. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Congress flying in style

Remember the outrage when the auto CEO's flew into Washington, DC -- because they took private jets? They were scolded by Congress in a dog and pony show on TV 'how dare you!' Once again the do as I say not as I do mentality prevails in DC, as Congress has just purchased 3 private planes at the super low cost of $200 million dollars. Apparently Congress is completely oblivious to the hypocrisy or they think they are so important that it's justified. Glenn reacts. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Chavez seizes radio stations

Hugo Chavez said this week that hundreds of radio stations his government plans to seize for 'operating illegally' could be turned over to the Venezuelans who share his Socialist vision. Sound familiar? Fairness Doctrine anyone? Glenn talks with someone very excited with the news and eager to learn from it. 'Sid Seymour' from 'Barney Frank's office' talks with Glenn about the exciting learning experience for Congress happening with Hugo Chavez. ( INSIDER AUDIO) Not an Insider? You can sign up today!

Cash for Clunkers still stinks

What most people would consider to be a failed business model, the government touts as a success. Even though it ran out of money in just a few days, politicians eager to score cheap political votes sought to dump another $2 billion into Cash for Clunkers. Ok, so without the calculator out -- if $1 billion lasted just a few days, $2 billion would probably only last a few more than a few days. Don't think that one out! It's popular, you know, and politicians can't let a popular government program die! ( WATCH)
