Don't miss election coverage like you've never heard before (aka unprofessional) -- starting at 6pm eastern tonight as Glenn, Stu and more break down the events as they happen live. They will be there till the bitter end (which actually we hope is very late---since that would mean it's close!) and as the night wears on, we'll start preparing for tomorrow's Gloat Fest (if McCain wins) or Pity Party (if Obama wins). Find out how to listen to Glenn's special election coverage here.
Rangel's cultish chants
Charlie Rangel was caught on video giving a last minute push for Barack Obama, when suddenly things turned very cultish. 'Who is going to save the United States? (crowd) Obama!' 'Who is going to save the world?' (crowd) Obama!'. Save the world? Nothing like setting the bar high---watch the madness here.
Hillary Clinton campaigning -- 5 ft from polling booths!
Nothing like being distracted while trying to vote by the sultry tones of Hillary Clinton, as she stands just outside your voting booth talking about how great and unified Democrats are. Of course, this annoyance probably only lost Barack Obama a few votes -- which was likely her intent all along. Can you say Hillary 2012? Watch here.
Voter intimidation
When the term voter intimidation gets tossed out there, the media has people trained to think 'Republicans are stealing another election'. When the location of the voter intimidation is Philadelphia, the media has trained people to think 'racist Republicans are stealing another election'. Turns out this time it's the Democrats doing the intimidating -- which seems silly in the liberal stronghold that is Philadelphia (by the way--how are those liberal policies working out, Philly?) Senator Hatch
Senator Orrin Hatch joined Glenn today to talk about the dangers of electing Barack Obama. Not only does Hatch think that Obama's cap and trade tax would 'bankrupt America' (Obama himself said it would bankrupt the coal industry) but Hatch says America's beloved (by some, anyways) Constitution is 'hanging by a thread'. Hatch is not a notorious fear monger, which makes the comments particularly scary. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.
Senator Lieberman
Glenn spent a few minutes with possibly the most powerful post-election Senator there will be. If the Democrats do indeed reach 60 seats---will Joe Lieberman switch his party to R? Glenn caught up with the Senator just before he headed off to Colorado for the final get out the vote push. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.
