On Today's Program
Biden's spooky words
Joe Biden was speaking at a fundraising event Sunday in Seattle and said some pretty bizarre and spooky things. For example, he said:
'mark my words...watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision. Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."
What in the world is he talking about? He said more, and Glenn runs down the myriad of possible things Biden could have been talking about. Of course, Biden could have just said this stuff to make sure someone was paying attention to him. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.
Fairness Doctrine
The name makes it sound so fair, but if you like talk radio and free speech, then make sure to vote for people who oppose the Fairness Doctrine. Basically, the Fairness Doctrine mandates equal time for different political viewpoints, which would essentially force talk radio to kill about half of it's programs. From there, stations will constantly -- with every story selection -- have to ponder what the government will think of this segment. Sounds more like Nazi Germany than America, but that's what liberals will do to shut the opposing viewpoint down. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.
Liberal Supermajority
In Stu's latest political geek update he talks about an interesting Senate race in Minnesota, where because of a 3rd party candidate, Al Franken (yeah, that Al Franken) has a chance to become a United States Senator. Minnesota, thanks for electing the professional wrestler, that was fun while it lasted and everything, but can we please stop with the silly voting jokes? Al Franken? He's not even a good comedian! Please, pick someone who has done something other than participate in a cage match or a terrible SNL bit. Check out Stu's update. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.
And in today's Stu blog, Stu explains to members of the media what socialism is, and why Obama's tax plan fits the definition and McCain's health care plan does not.
Arguments Against Idiots
With Obama closing in on victory in the presidential election, liberals can almost taste the sweet savory flavor of defeat in Iraq. When your idiot liberal friend decides to gloat about this and tell you about the racist military and blah blah blah . . . be ready with the argument to put them in their place. Just like we are winning in Iraq, it's time for you to win the argument with your idiot friend. Get it here.
