Show Highlight:

Glenn talks to the Maverick

On Today's Program

The Maverick

Senator John McCain made another appearance on today's radio program, and Glenn had some tough questions about the bailout and the apparent movement this country is making towards socialism. Senator McCain gave a solid interview, and one can only hope he does the same (or better) at the final debate tomorrow night against Senator Obama. Glenn asks the Maverick why, as an anti-pork fighting Senator, he was willing to vote for the bailout that included loads of pork---and you can read his answer to that and more here, or Insiders can listen to the interview here.

ACORN's nuts

The fine folks from ACORN are claiming that they are just innocent little puppy dogs who happen to have a few bad apples among them. They just want to get people out and vote -- they don't care who those people vote for. Which is weird because all of the bad apples among them so far have been in states like Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania -- just the run of the mill swing states. Check out Glenn's thrashing of ACORN and audio of Obama telling (in 2007) Community organizers -- including ACORN -- that they will help 'shape the agenda' in an Obama presidency. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.

Double standard

Remember the name Mark Foley? Of course, who wouldn't! The media had a frenzy before the 2006 mid-term elections and they forced the conversation to be about the Republicans and their morally corrupt party. Foley was run out of Washington and quickly replaced with a much more 'moral' Democrat. That Democrat is named Tim Mahoney. Mahoney had started his affair while campaigning against Foley with the message of 'a safer, more moral' world. Perhaps he was referring to some different world that he and his mistress are not a part of. Read Glenn's commentary on this. Insiders can listen here to the audio of Glenn and the Congressman caught on tape.

Hopefully, polls lie

Because if they don't, Senator McCain is in some real trouble. Stu breaks out the latest polling data and frankly it's more depressing than the thought of the coming depression. Read Stu's Political Geek update. Insiders listen here.

Arguments Against Idiots

The classic idiot preparation for a GOP election win: 'McCain-Palin better not try to steal this election from Barack Obama the way Bush stole his from Kerry and Gore, or there will be blood in the streets!' Oh, boy. It's gonna take a while to deal with this idiot, so here is the logical winning argument you need to set this moron straight.

Stu Blog: Stu's latest blog is truly a statement on what the media thinks of Americans...Read it here.
