When former DNC chair Don Fowler got on a plane home from the Democratic National Convention and started yapping about how funny it was that Hurricane Gustav was going to hit New Orleans right at the start the GOP convention---he should have looked around a little bit. Keith Olbermann's home blogging site, The Daily Kos, got the internet rumor mill running on Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol. They (with exactly ZERO proof) pushed the story that somehow Sarah Palin faked being pregnant in order to hide the fact that her teenage daughter, Bristol, was pregnant. The 'proof' they cite is this picture, in which they disturbingly claim that Bristol has a 'baby bump'. There are only about 4,198 problems with this fake pregnancy theory, and Glenn goes through them in this blogger bashing segment. Read the transcript. Insiders listen here.

Daily Kos, internet rag
As if it wasn't bad enough for the Daily Kos to make up fake pregnancy rumors---they are doing their best to stifle opposing opinions. Even progressives who post there can get banned. Lee Stranahan who writes for the Huffington Post, was banned simply for posting that the Daily Kos ignored the Edwards story even though it seemed legit. Glenn took a call today from a proud parent of a child with down syndrome who showed up with his family at the first McCain/Palin event in PA. To his surprise, he was called aside and was asked to join the McCains and the Palins. They spent some time with them, took some pictures, and were left with the feeling that these were some genuine people.
