Since unemployment is still 9.6%, $165 billion was added to the deficit in one month, and President Obama is still celebrating a 'recovery summer' - Glenn figured it was time for a few laughs. Glenn talks with impressionist extraordinaire Frank Caliendo on radio today.

Video: Obama's claim that the worst is over flies in the face of economic reality.
Glenn and Bill had an interesting exchange on their weekly TV segment last night, which may surprise the left that Bill does more than just lob cupcake questions to those generally on the same side of the political aisle...
You aren't getting the truth from the media or those in and around the President - and even the President in some cases. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, for example, went on TV and tried to push the notion that their is no deficit problem, even though we just added $165 billion to the deficit last month alone. Glenn has that and comments from Valerie Jarrett and Alan Grayson.
The Drudge Report is a must read for any person serious about finding out what is going on in the world. Finger is always right on the pulse of what Americans care about - so it was particularly shocking to Glenn as he browsed through the Drudge front page today and saw stories that were all disturbing in their own respect. But when they are tied together it's much, much worse.
The Center for American Progress is a progressive organization that loves big government, so it was a surprise to see that they actually had a section devoted to finding areas in education that could actually be cut. But, their motive becomes apparent when the list of cuts are revealed. 'Niche' programs on outdated topics like 'The United States Constitution' and 'American History' are on the chopping block. Gee, why wouldn't progressives be in favor of those?
Glenn Beck enters the No Spin Zone and explains why he doesn’t focus on topics like gay marriage and abortion, plus Calvin Coolidge talk...

As seen on TV: Real Time US Debt Clock
Government has completely lost touch with common sense.
$26.1 billion dollars this time to (allegedly) save teachers jobs all across America - a bill that came at the expense of cutting food stamps. Glenn wonders what the political strategy is on this bill, considering Gibbs came out yesterday and took a jab at the far left - the same day they cut food stamps.
Redeye host Greg Gutfeld has come up with a brilliant plan to help illustrate the ridiculousness of the Ground Zero mosque that's in the works: a gay Muslim bar next to the new mosque. You know, to help build tolerance for the gay community amongst anti-gay Muslims. Glenn's fave finalist for the name of Gutfelds gay bar: You Mecca me Hot.
Once thought a quality source of news is now seemingly dumpster diving for stories, as evidenced by headlines like 'Primary night yields good news for Obama, Dems' making the cut. Of course it was a good night for democrats - in the democratic primaries. Politico has not reported it, but rumor has it that republicans had a decent night as well. Glenn has the latest in the political news of the day.
Move over, Joe Dimaggio, there's a new streak in town - Harry Reid's consecutive idiocy streak is still going strong. Night in and night out, Reid consistently says stupid things, leaving no doubt he is the idiot of idiots. The latest: Reid says "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, okay. Do I need to say more?" No Harry, you don't. The defense rests.
