GLENN: Oh, I'm terrified out of my mind. You know what? Here, let me give this ‑‑ let me put this into perspective. The one night when I was on CNN, I looked at the camera and I said, "Democrats, you want to find a scandal on George W. Bush that could take him down? You start looking into the funny business that's going on in the border because I believe there are things that may be impeachable offenses on the border." That night on the way home I get a phone call and it's the White House and they said, "Mr. Beck?" Yes. "The President would like to meet with you in the Oval on Thursday. Can you make that?"
CALLER: Oh, my goodness.
GLENN: I was less nervous walking into the Oval Office with that happening than I am going on The View.
CALLER: Why?
GLENN: Why?
CALLER: No, why are you doing this?
GLENN: Oh, I don't know. I don't have any idea.
STU: What are you ‑‑ why are you ‑‑ I don't understand this.
GLENN: What?
STU: They're very ‑‑ it's a great show. They've got a ‑‑
GLENN: It's a great show.
STU: Tons of viewers, good exposure.
DAN: Great guests. Tom Hanks was on there the other day. They got big names. You should be honored.
GLENN: Because Ense, what always happens to conservatives?
CALLER: Masochists.
GLENN: They kill you.
STU: Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on there every day doing this.
GLENN: I don't know how she does it.
STU: You should look for inspiration.
GLENN: From Elisabeth?
STU: Yeah. I mean, if she can go in there and handle herself every day, you can't go in there one day?
GLENN: She's a woman.
STU: Yes.
GLENN: You can't win when you've got three women ganging up on you, how do you possibly, how could you possibly win?
CALLER: What do you mean? You just say your viewpoints, I mean, and you do your ‑‑ John Stossel was just on there, Bill O'Reilly's been on there a bunch of times. They do fine.
GLENN: Bill O'Reilly likes that stuff!
STU: Yes, he does. He likes ‑‑
GLENN: I don't. I don't like confrontation.
STU: That's ‑‑ I understand that, but you don't have to have a confrontation. You can have a conversation. Glenn ‑‑
GLENN: I would like to have a ‑‑ that's what I hope to have.
STU: Isn't it time for us to look past parties and come together as Americans?
GLENN: That's not what they are going to ask me. That's not what they are going to ask me.
STU: No, that's what you should be thinking.
GLENN: They are going to say things like, you want all children to starve to death. What?
STU: Well, you do.
GLENN: That's what you said in 1979. I think that ‑‑ first of all, I don't think that's right. And I was ‑‑ I think I was 14 at the time. That's what it's ‑‑
STU: I think it will be a ‑‑ I think you'll do well.
GLENN: (Laughing).
STU: Not convincing?
